BS OHSAS 18001 is the internationally recognised assessment specification for occupational health and safety management systems. It was developed by a selection of leading trade bodies, international standards and certification bodies to address a gap where no third-party certifiable international standard exists. The standard promotes a safe and healthy working environment by providing a framework that allows an organisation to consistently identify and control its health and safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, aid legislative compliance and improve overall performance.


BS OHSAS 18001:2007 CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION
AE Faulks Ltd operates a 'Health & Safety Management System' which complies with the requirements of BS OHSAS 18001:2007.  The system defines the leadership and controls; sets the goals and objectives; outlines the strategies and tactics; develops the plans; schedules and necessary controls to manage all aspects of health and safety within the company.

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY
Our Health & Safety Policy explains how matters of health and safety will be organised within the company and the arrangements the company has put in place for implementing the policy.  This policy is periodically reviewed to ensure it is still current, and amended when necessary, with the content and changes made available to all employees and interested third parties.

SELF DRIVE PLANT HIRE SAFETY LEAFLETS
The following leaflets are a helpful guide to the safe handling and operation of plant we supply on a self drive basis.  This includes mini excavators, site dumpers and compaction equipment.  It is always recommended that persons operating such machinery are fully trained and competent to do so.

MACHINE CERTIFICATES
All our excavators are hired out with a current 'certificate of thorough examination' as required by the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER).  This ensures that the equipment provided is 'fit-for-purpose' for the specific lifting operation.  All our excavators (above 6t) are fitted with check valves and in-cab audible over load indicator, or an aucoustic/visual safe load indicator.  Please contact the hire desk on 01664 822797 for  details.
